M.V. Loch Seaforth on route to Stornoway

If you are travelling by car to the islands during the summer months it is important to book your ferry tickets well in advance as car spaces do get booked up and especially at weekends when a lot of changeovers happen.  If you intend to travel by bus to Ullapool then do please book your bus tickets early as these are frequently booked up.

Caledonian MacBrayne runs a ferry service from Ullapool to Stornoway.
There is also a ferry from Uig on Skye to Tarbert, Isle of Harris

There are also daily ferry crossings with the Western Isles from Leverburgh, Isle of Harris to the Isle of Berneray.

For full details on timetables summer and winter, booking and fares please check their website Caledonian MacBrayne.
